The night was old and the moon low in the sky, as a group of three men and two women raced away  from the burning remains of a once-great castle, that had only hours before been the center point of rule for the entire kingdom. Now, the king and his queen lay dead in their throne room, surrounded by their fallen guards. After twenty long years of absolute devotion, their advisor had betrayed them, making the beginning of what would surely be a war.
One man in particular stood out from his company – with dark skin and white paint across the bridge of his nose, a tattered cloak around his shoulders, and a necklace bouncing against his chest as he rode. The necklace was a golden chain with an arrowhead-shaped piece of ruby hanging from it. The gem glistened as if a fire was burning within it, making the stone noticeably warm against his skin.
“Lord Isaac, where are we going?” One of the women shouted.
“We must go to the elves! They are our only refuge now!” The man replied. The group fell silent once more, and Lord Elliot rode on. With him, he carried a small bundle, clutched close to his chest. Within the bundle he carried, slept a tiny baby with white gold hair and fair skin.
I literally could not think of a better title.

This idea hit me, literally, while I was in the bathroom. I may continue this, I may not. But I kind of like the idea behind it and have some ideas on how I could continue it.
